Biography
Wes, a native of Pleasant View-Yellow Jacket, Colorado, is a full-service irrigator. He has been involved in agriculture his entire life. After graduating from Montezuma-Cortez High School, West attended Colorado State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness. After graduating, he returned to the family farm and started his career in agriculture. Wes has served the local community through numerous organizations, including the Dolores-Montezuma County Farmers Union, Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department as Fire Chief for 20 years, President of the board of the Southwest Colorado Bean Producers, Inc., and Master of the Ute Mountain Pomona Grange and Yellow Jacket Grange. Wes strives to serve the District by being a common-sense liaison for the constituents of Dolores Water Conservancy District.
